Guangxi Natural Resources Vocational & Technical College Completes Its UAV Training Center

Posted on May 24, 2026 | Vocational College UAV Programs & Labs

Approved by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and filed with the Ministry of Education, Guangxi Natural Resources Vocational & Technical College is the only public full‑time higher vocational college focusing on natural resources, operated by the Department of Natural Resources of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Located in the China‑ASEAN Nanning Airport Economic Zone, known as “Guangxi’s Second University Town” and the “back garden” of Nanning, the capital city, the college boasts picturesque scenery, a pleasant environment and rich cultural atmosphere, making it an ideal place for study and personal growth.

I. Project Background & Requirements

With UAV technology widely applied in natural‑resources surveying, mapping, emergency disaster relief, smart agriculture and other fields, the industry faces a growing urgent demand for high‑caliber UAV technical talents. As a key vocational college in Guangxi, Guangxi Natural Resources Vocational & Technical College is committed to cultivating skilled talents for regional economic development. In response to the national policy of “industry‑education integration and school‑enterprise cooperation”, the college has partnered with Zhonghang Hentuo Intelligent Technology (Hebei) Co., Ltd. to build a modern UAV training center integrating teaching, practical training, scientific research and skill certification. It aims to provide students with a practice platform simulating real‑world industry scenarios and boost technological upgrading of the regional UAV industry.

II. Construction Goals & Planning

Core Goals: Establish a full‑chain training system covering UAV assembly, commissioning, flight operation, measurement and maintenance; meet teaching requirements for CAAC UAV license examinations and the 1+X vocational‑skill certificate; support industry‑oriented application development (mapping, inspection, rescue, etc.) and scientific‑research innovation.

Functional‑Zone Planning

1. Simulated Flight & Theoretical Teaching Zone: Equipped with UAV flight simulation systems and cloud‑desktop terminals for virtual‑scenario training and theoretical instruction;

2. Assembly, Commissioning & Maintenance Zone: Fitted with indoor teaching disassembly‑assembly platforms, integrated commissioning‑inspection systems and complete tool‑and‑consumable kits to support hands‑on student practice;

3. Outdoor Flight Training Zone: Features safety‑protected grounds, examination‑training platforms and RTK base stations for live‑flight drills and license assessment of multiple UAV models;

4. Industry‑Application Innovation Zone: Deployed with AI‑vision UAVs and mapping‑teaching UAVs for real‑world scenarios such as natural‑resource surveys and smart‑city projects.

III. Project Implementation & Highlights

Procured equipment includes UAV simulators, octocopter examination‑training platforms, high‑precision RTK positioning systems and AI‑vision swarm‑development platforms, satisfying progressive teaching requirements from basic operation to advanced development. Cloud‑desktop licenses and teaching‑management software enable centralized management of over 70 terminals, supporting remote teaching, assignment submission and in‑class quizzes to improve teaching efficiency. The flight‑safety zone is equipped with nylon safety nets and shock‑absorbing floor mats. Compliant with 1+X UAV‑pilot vocational‑skill standards, the training center enables students to finish theoretical study, simulation training and license assessments in one stop.

IV. Social Benefits & Future Outlook

This training center has become a core hub for cultivating UAV technical talents in Guangxi, supporting the development of "Smart Guangxi" and the low‑altitude economy.Under the continuous upgrade plan, 5G‑enabled UAV application scenarios will be introduced, alongside modular courses covering smart agriculture and power‑line inspection. A UAV big‑data center will also be built to advance the in‑depth integration of industry, university, research and application.Centered on the philosophy of “Technology empowers education; education fuels industry”, the partnership between Zhonghang Hentuo and Guangxi Natural Resources Vocational & Technical College creates a benchmark case for close alignment between vocational education and industry demands. Moving forward, both sides will further deepen cooperation to cultivate more high‑caliber skilled professionals for the UAV sector and contribute to the high‑quality development of China’s low‑altitude economy.
